Prolific drooling begins...

This weekend, I started drooling and being fussy (which I rarely am) and Mommy & Daddy took me to Dr. LePage on Monday because they thought my reflux was getting worse, but she looked inside my mouth and told them that I'm teething! I'm on "the early side of normal", but I choose to look as it as being advanced! Dr. LePage told Mommy & Daddy to ask if either of them got teeth early and Grandma said that Daddy got his first tooth around five months, so that makes sense...

I had to go back to see her today (which is okay because I like her a lot and she plays the sticking-her-tongue-out-at-me game - my favorite!) because I was coughing a lot, and she said that it's probably from all of the drool I'm making (and making and making and making). As long as it doesn't get worse, I'll be fine.

Mommy & Daddy cancelled their New Year's plans with Aunt Rachel and Uncle Brian and Ayla, but I tried to make it up to them by taking three naps today and smiling every minute I wasn't sleeping!

I also got a cool raspberry-shaped teether from Mommy because I'm too young to hold stuff by myself, but my gums are pretty sore. It's just like my pacifier, so I don't have to hold it! My hands are pretty cool, but it's nice to have variety! I also got a new baby seat and was having a lot of fun in it - I really put on a smiling show for Mommy & Daddy (and Oscar) when they put me in it for the first time! I was sitting up like a big girl!

If I can make it there...

Yesterday, Mommy & Daddy took me to New York City for the first time!
We went to eat at the diner that Mommy & Daddy had their first "date" in, and then we went to go look at the tree in Rockefeller Center... It was really big and I'm a big fan of lights, so there was so much for me to look at! Since it was so crowded, Daddy came up with the idea of carrying me in my Baby Bjorn instead of my stroller and that worked out much better. Mommy split the "baby wearing" duties with Daddy and it was a lot of fun walking around with them.
I was very alert and checking out all of the people around me (making a lot of very funny faces in the process)...

Me & Oscar

Here are some pictures of me and Oscar hanging out... He's so gentle with me and hardly ever "borrows" my toys to play with... He likes to sniff my head and my feet. He DOES seem to really enjoy grabbing my socks when Mommy or Daddy drops them and then runs away with his curly little tail wagging. Mommy and Dadddy don't seem very amused with that game! Oscar was keeping me company while I was enjoying my Peek-A-Boo Elmo that I got for Chanukah from Cousins Evan & Brett this morning. This week I "discovered" him and now I am always watching him when he's sitting nearby... He's still much bigger than me, and when I come into bed with Mommy and Daddy in the mornings, I noticed that he snores A LOT!

Christmas with the Kuschels!

Mommy and Daddy & I went to celebrate Christmas Eve with Aunt Lindsay, Uncle Michael, Aidan, Shea, and Aunt Sandra... It was so much fun! Cousin Aidan kept asking for Santa all night but when Santa (who looked a LOT like Uncle Michael) got there, he was a little scared and ran away... Aunt Lindsay and Santa seemed to like each other a lot though!!!
Mommy and Daddy were reminiscing about how badly they wanted a baby last year at Christmas and how happy they are that they have me!

My First (and last) Visit to Yankee Stadium!

On Christmas Eve, Daddy had to work a half-day, so he brought me and Mommy to work so I could meet everyone and see the "old" stadium before they move into the new one in a few weeks... I was very well-behaved and Daddy let me sit in his chair! I was so exhausted from all the new sights that I took a nap in my carseat on the floor in his office. I also had my diaper changed on the floor - I bet Daddy never thought he'd see THAT happen!

My First Chanukah!

This year we had Chanukah at Aunt Stacy & Uncle Cully's house because Baby Brett was too little to travel... It was also the first time that Daddy got to meet Cousin Brett! It was a really fun night and I got a bunch of cool stuff like Peek-A-Boo Elmo, an elephant toy, some outfits, and a Rainforest booster seat for when I'm a little bigger!

Assorted Photos

This week, I hung out with Mommy's friend Nicki and Zachary; got some cool sunglasses, and hung out with Aunt Stacy and Cousin Brett!

I Have A New Cousin!

Brett Ryan was born on December 12th (finally!)... Even though the doctor's told Aunt Stacy he was going to be small, he came out weighing 8 pounds and 10 ounces!!! Mommy and I were so excited to meet him that we drove to Danbury and saw him only a couple of hours after he was born! He looks JUST like Aunt Stacy - he's super cute!! Cousin Evan, Brett, and I gave Mommy a couple of really great "photo-ops" and Aunt Stacy had a little trouble figuring out how to use Mommy's nursing cover! We were all very excited to meet Brett and I can't wait to show him the ropes since I'm a whole twelve weeks older than him!

Week 12

This week, we had our last Mommy & Me yoga class and took a "class picture"... I also hung out with my "boyfriend" Jack and Mommy & Debbie got some great shots of Jack trying to make a move on me! I also "found" my fingers pretty yummy this week and can pretty much put them in my mouth whenever I want to - quite an accomplishment! I'm kind of weaning myself off of my binky since my fingers taste better. I'm also finding that my binky gets in the way of all the smiling I do lately...

My boy Jack!

I know we're a little young to be moving this fast, but somehow when Mommy's friend Debbie was over, Jack and I ended up in my crib together. Nothing happened! All we did was look at my mobile, I promise!!! I hope I don't get a bad reputation at Stroller Strides now...

The Princess and the Pea

Yesterday, we had our new King-sized mattress delivered. I guess it was getting a little bit crowded in there in the mornings when they would bring me into bed after I got tired of my crib! Mommy & Daddy stayed up really late on Friday night to take apart their old bed and put the new one together. The 1-800-MATTRES (you're supposed to leave off the last "S" for savings) guys came yesterday afternoon to deliver the new one. I guess it was a lot bigger than they had expected - it hardly made it up the stairs and it was SO high on the bed that Mommy said she'd need a step-stool to get up onto it! Daddy took some pictures of us on it because we looked so silly all the way up there...

Titi Eva and Uncle Mike came over to help us figure out a solution and Daddy fixed the bed (grumbling a lot the whole time). They slept on it last night and it was so comfy! When Mommy brought me in at 7 o'clock this morning, I decided to get really comfortable too - so I pooped! A LOT. Some got on the only set of sheets Mommy got for the new bed, and some got on Mommy! I think this is what Aunt Rachel and Uncle Brian call a "Code Brown". I happened to be wearing the shirt Aunt Rachel made for me, but I think that's unrelated...

Mommy and I thought it was very silly (I kept smiling and cooing the whole time and she was laughing a lot), but as it turns out, Daddy's not much of a morning person so he didn't find as much humor in it. Tee hee!

My new game!

Mommy and Daddy figured out a new game that I absolutely LOVE! When they stick their tongues out at me, I do it right back to them... I think it's hysterical and make a bunch of cooing sounds and smiles at them the whole time! I could play for hours!!!

Mommy's BIG Mixup!

So... I'm not sure if Mommy's embarrassed or something, but it appears as though she's been avoiding writing about an incident that happened a couple of weeks ago...

Mommy and Daddy and I were all set to go to Cousin Shea's Christening on Saturday on Long Island, and then to Zachary's 2nd birthday party back in Stamford on the same day. It was going to be a really long day with lots of traveling, but we decided to sleep at Grandma & Grandpa's the night before to cut the trip to Smithtown in half. I had a great time hanging out in Queens (it's not as "rough" as Daddy tries to make it out to be), and then Mommy & Daddy got up super early to get us all showered and "beautified" for Shea's Christening that morning. We drove all the way out to Smithtown to the church and the parking lot seemed really empty, so Mommy checked the invitation to make sure the address was right. As soon as she read it out loud to Daddy, they both realized that the Christening was on SUNDAY!!! Daddy wanted to be really, really mad but all he and Mommy could do was laugh hysterically because it was such a gigantic mistake!!

Luckily, Cousins Shea and Aidan live only a few minutes form there so we were still able to go over and visit. I got to see Aunt Sandra, Uncle Sande & Mary Anne, "Aunts" Lindsay and Yael, and "Uncles" Bryan and Michael... Everyone had a good laugh at Mommy and promised to never let her forget it (especially Daddy)!!!
